Book Reception and Signing at the Athens Country Club – October 28, 2016

I'm here with my hosts Kathie and Ed Cox, both at their beautiful ranch and at the Athens Country Club, kicking off a great literary weekend in Athens, Texas. A large, enthusiastic crowd enjoyed wine, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and live music. 

The next morning, at the Clint W. Murchison Library, the Friends of the Library hosted my reading passages from Listen for the Mourning Dove for an engaged audience. A interesting discussion followed the reading.

I want to thank the Cox's for their great Texas-size hospitality, good friend Robert Mathes for coming in from Georgia for the event, and last but not least my good friend Nancy Newsom who traveled from Missouri to once again assist with book sales. My gratitude all the way around!
